John A. Caldwell, near-native of Dallas, Texas has practiced pathology in the Spartanburg area since 2000. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Caldwell underwent his training in pathology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. In addition he completed a year subspecialty training in dermatopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Caldwell is board certified in anatomic/clinical pathology and dermatopathology. Dr. Caldwell has an interest in dermatopathology as well as general pathology. He is active in his specialty/subspecialty societies in addition to the American Medical Association, South Carolina Medical Society, and Spartanburg County Medical Society. He regularly participates and presents at medical conferences at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union, South Carolina.
