A native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dr. Christensen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Christensen completed residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, where he served as Chief Resident from 1987 until 1988. Dr. Christensen also has fellowship training in anatomic pathology from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Christensen joined Carolinas Pathology Group and Celligent Diagnostics in 1990. He has specialty expertise and interest in breast and prostate pathology, serving as a regional consultant in these specialty areas. Dr. Christensen serves as the Medical Director of Laboratories at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC.
