A native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Dr. Weida is a graduate of the University of Scranton and the Penn State School of Medicine. She began residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Florida Shands Teaching Hospital. Dr. Weida completed her residency while focusing on renal pathology at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. She also holds board certification in Cytology. Dr. Weida joined Carolinas Pathology Group and Celligent Diagnostics in 1995. She directs the region's only renal pathology practice and currently examines more than 300 native and transplant renal biopsies each year. Her services include the areas of light microscopy, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy.
